Susan Sarandon Bio

It was 1968. Democratic Convention and there was a casting call for a movie that featured many roles for young actors who interrupted it. Joe (1970) was auditioned for by Joe (1970) and Joe (1970) Two recent Catholic University students. Chris Sarandon was not selected for the role, despite having prior studies in acting. His wife Susan was given a prominent role in the movie as Susan Compton and is the child of Bill Compton (Dennis Patrick). Dad Bill, Susan's drug dealer boyfriend, is killed in the movie. Joe (Peter Boyle) is a bigot working on an assembly line, next meets Joe (Sarandon). Janet gets involved with Dr. Frank n Furter, plays the role of Janet in The Rocky Horror Picture Show (1975). Sarandon took on the role of Annie in Bull Durham (1988) more than 15 years before she started her acting career. She took a flight on her own from Rome, Italy to Los Angeles. She said "It was such an amazing script... it removed a number of myths and challenged the definition of success". "When I arrived I had a few hours with Kevin Costner, kissed some ladies at the studio, then went back to my plane". Tim Robbins (1988), her Bull Durham supporting actor, already had two sons before 1992, which placed Sarandon in a position where she was able to leave her home and be able to take on more challenging roles. It was the result of four Academy Award nominations in 1990s and the best actress award for Dead Man Walking (1995). Louis Malle's Atlantic City (1980) was her first Academy Award nomination.
