Jessica Alba
Jessica Marie Alba, an American actor and entrepreneur.
She started her film and television appearances at age 13 in Camp Nowhere and
The Secret World of Alex Mack (1994) however she became famous at the age of 19
as the main actress in the popular television show Dark Angel (2000-2002), for
which she received a Golden Globe nomination. Honey (2003) was her most
successful screen debut. She quickly became a Hollywood actress and has
appeared in a variety of box office hits throughout her career which include
Fantastic Four (2005), Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer (2007), Good
Luck Chuck (2007), The Eye (2008), Valentine's Day (2010), Little Fockers
(2010), and Mechanic: Resurrection (2016). [9She is a frequent collaborator
with Robert Rodriguez. She has starred in Sin City (2005) and Machete (2010).
Alba starred from 2019 to 2020 in Spectrum's action crime series L.A. Finest.
Alba co-founded The Honest Company (a consumer goods company that sells
products for personal, household, and baby use) in the year 2011. Magazines
such as Men's Health as well as FHM and Vanity Fair included her among their
list of the most gorgeous women. Jessica Marie Alba was born in Pomona,
California, on April 28, 1981, to Catherine Louisa (nee Jensen) and Mark David
Alba. Her mother is of Danish, Welsh and German ancestry. The grandparents of
her paternal grandfather were born in California as children of Mexican
immigrants. Joshua is her older brother. Gustavo Arellano (her third cousin) is
her father in biological form. Her father's Air Force career took them to
Biloxi, Mississippi and Del Rio, Texas before they returned to Claremont
(California) when Alba was nine years old. Alba spoke of her family's
conservative nature as a traditional, Catholic as well as a Latin American
family. However, she describes her own liberal views since she's declared
herself a feminist from when she was five years old.
