Abigail Marie Clancy Bio

Abigail Marie Clancy was born 10 January 1986. She is an English television personality and lingerie model. She was the runner up on Britain's Next Top Model (cycle 2). In 2006, she also won series 11 of Strictly Come Dancing. Since 2015 she has been hosting Britain's Next Top Model. Clancy was born on July 7 1965 in Liverpool. She is the second of four kids of Karen (nee Sullivan), Geoffrey Thomas Clancy. She was born in Woolton close to Liverpool and attended St Mary's Primary school and St Julie's Catholic High. Clancy formed the girl band Genie Queen and was managed by Andy McCluskey, Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark. Clancy was selected as one of thirteen finalist on Living TV’s Britain’s Next Top Model in summer 2006. Clancy competed for a modelling contract for 10 weeks. Clancy was able to make it to the runway show along with fellow contestant Lianna Fowler, eventually becoming the runner up. Clancy was the first model to be featured on Britain's Next Top Model. Clancy modelled the Triumph Bonneville Motorbike and was featured on the cover of Arena magazine in May 2007. Clancy was selected to be featured in Sports Illustrated magazine in the 2010 swimsuit edition. Clancy was chosen for her connection to Peter Crouch. She was photographed by Yu Tsai in only body paint, which made it appear as though she was wearing an England shirt. Clancy was wearing an England shirt in Umbro's 2010 campaign for sportswear, was also featured with other footballer's wives or girlfriends from the countries which took home the World Cup. Clancy walked the Giles Deacon Ready-To Wear Giles Spring 2011 collection. In July 2013 she appeared in London designer Hasan Hejazi's campaign, in a fashion editorial written by Absynth Photographic and the fashion film of Gabriel Gettman. Clancy was also photographed for the August 2011 UK Esquire magazine cover by Solve Sundsbo. Clancy was also featured in LOVE magazine's Advent Calendar along with Suki waterhouse and Cara delevingne. Clancy featured on the cover of British Marie Claire in July 2014, and British Elle in March 2015. Abbey Clancy was joined by her daughter Sophia Crouch and Lipsy, an London-based fashion designer to launch their AW'19 collections. The AW19 collection launched in UAE in January 2020.
